School Reunion at Saufiville, Janda Baik, Pahang

Actually we plan to have a trip with 6 or so people but it turns out to be 15 members altogether making it to Saufiville, in Janda Baik, Pahang. I have never been there all my life although I heard about the place a lot.

The village ( can I call it village instead? ) was located in the highland and next to the Genting Highland resort exit. The weather is rather chill and it was good. But, it was pretty hard to find Saufiville. We were almost lost. The room and reservations was made by Helmi ( Thanks to him ) and the whole thing was organised by Faqhrul ( million thanks to him ).

This gathering has brought us all up together after we all finished school and that was about hmm 13-14 years ago? Pretty long time actually. There was no specific activity table out this time but we rather having fun, chill out, chatting and catching up... but, during at night, some of them went out to Karaoke while I trying to finished up my EPL.

We depart from KL at 12 in the afternoon and arrived at 3pm ( we stopped at Genting Sempah - to those who had not taken breakfast, they had some food there ). After that, we continue the journey until we reach up to the Saufiville. The path going to the bungalow is rather slim and narrow.

The bungalow is totally huge. It has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathroom and 1 extra toilet. We have no kitchen but they have a cafe for anyone who would like to order the food. But bear in mind, the price is totally out of your mind. It its pretty expensive and ( tak masuk akal ).

I ordered a Ginger Beef Kue Teow which cost me RM14.90. After I had my lunch, I dipped myself into the chilly cold swimming pool. I made few laps until my muscle were all cramped (not a good one tho ). At 5pm, we are ready to do our BBQ. But to our least expectation (which leads everyone into frustration ), we have to rent a BBQ-pit and that cost us RM100 per usage. Which I think.. that is too much, we rent the bungalow for RM2k for 1 night stay and on top of that we have to rent at BBQ-pit and have no kitchen? C'mon!!

Without wanting to make any arguments since we have all the marinated items brought along, We started to do the bbq. Thanks to Azliana for marinated all the foods very well. BIg thumb to her. She was worried I will criticised her food. She said, since I can cook well, she was afraid it is not going to be good. ( aiyoo.. perlu ker? )

The BBQ went well until it get's dark. There was no spot-lights or any lights around the pool that can helps us to see if the food is done or burnt. Luckily Faqhrul brought along a small torch lights. That does help to see if the food was ready. My favourite would be Grilled Lamb Chop. It was marinated so well and you can taste all the spices. The chicken was good too. But I find it a bit weird to have fish to along with all the other poultry.

The BBQ session turns out to be so well and everyone was so happy with the food prepared. The makan session lasted until 9pm. Some of them has making noise. They wanted to do KARAOKE. I joined and only sang for 1 song until I saw there were no boys around. lol. I left the room and leave it to the girls to do their own show.

From the bungalow, I can hear the song that they sang. It was loud enough tho. Although I only sang 1 song, I think that is just nice and enough for me. I lay down on the sofa, get my blanket and read my book and soon, Norazida joined me and later more people join and it's getting late. By then, it's almost 12pm.

I head off to my room and the rest continues with their activities, chatting and singing.

When I woke up in the morning about 10.30am, I found there were no sandwich prepared as per agreed during meeting. Without wanting to make any statement, I ordered myself a Fried Rice which cost me RM12.90.

It is a bit frustrating to see all the ingredients are there and set but the person who is suppose to prepare the sandwich refused to do so. I talk to everyone that the next coming gathering if there is any, I seriously don't want this to happen anymore. Some of them felt like they have to do this and that.. while the other people just sit down and relax. This kind of thought is totally unhealthy. Just for the record, it would be best to have all-in-one package the next time we would have the gathering. Everyone agree to that idea.

After breakfast, I packed my stuff and ready to leave at 12.30pm. We then head off to Tmn Melati for lunch before everyone departed to their own home.

Although I did not drive to Saufiville, all I can say is, I was pretty tired. lol. But the place is breath-taking despite of "cekik darah". Another thing which I don't really like is, when we booked the place, we expect to have the sole privacy. We seriously were surprised to see strangers coming in and out of the bungalow.. like HELLO... we rent the whole house... not portion of that. I hope the owner of Saufiville read this and it is very inconvenience to have strangers walk-in to the house. We were afraid of our belonging. You never know if anything will happen!?

Having everyone around and gathered is wonderful. We had a lot of things to talk about, laughs about and too many things to share.. :) I hope there will be another exciting gathering again and I mentioned that.. if there is too many people around, we might not be able to talk to everyone and everyone agrees to that.

Di tempat saya tinggal semangkuk koey tew sup hampir RM 30.00 tak termasuk tax dan tip.Saya tak pernah komplen kerana faham bahan bahan mentah sekarang ni mahal. Jika tak mampu makan kat tempat mahal ,jangan pergi.Ini tidak ,dah tau diri tu haji bahkil nak juga merasa tempat tempat yg sendiri tak puas hati nak bayar, lepas tu buat pula blog blog untuk memburukan tempat tu . Anonymous: Mahal sbb there is no exclusivity.. we rent the bunglow.. but how can people can come in and out from the place.. sepatutnyer dier buat la laluan asing to the cafe... we dont share with public to stay over there. Food price.. I ckp mahal. i dont know if the cafe owner need to rent the place or not.. but he dont.. i think it is too overly charge.. i bukan haji bakhil n i spend my money wisely... :) kalau takat cafe yg attached kat bunglow tuh nak charge org pada harga yg tak sepatutnyer.. i think i have the rights to point my opinion..
