Career Move

Now this is what happen to me recently.. in a year.. I've been going in and out with 2 same company. I did not apply for the job, but the managers wanted me back ( class tak statement? )

I left Pharma company and joined Oil n Gas company which I've joined and left for 2 times. The third time I joined them, it created big headlines for me to return back there. I was laughing myself when I knew.. the news spreads to the whole IT arms... ( Am I that popular after all? Rolling eyes ). Although I joined them as a contract staff, but seriously I enjoyed working there knowing the fact that, the location is in the middle of KL City Centre and it is very convenient to me. It is pretty close to my place and it took 30 mins drive everyday to go to office and and home. The increment I enjoyed was 50% from Pharma Company.

What happen after 8 months having a good time working there, my Pharma company contact me back and wanting me to join them again. My position is still remain the same as Co-ordinator ( team lead ) with 20% increment from what I get in Oil and Gas Company not as much as I expected, but with few allowances, I can have quite a big smile seeing my pay check at the end of the day.

Coming back to this Pharma company brings a lot of smiles to my old colleague.. and they are happy and welcome me back and most of them can't wait for me to return and kept on asking me when I will be back?! Good thing, I am no longer reporting to the Local Manager ( Team Lead ) but instead, I will report directly to the Manager in the UK. : ) and I am no longer going to do my job as Messaging Administrator ( Email and Mail Servers admin ) this time, my work scope will focusing in Social Media. It is a new thing and big hoo-ha in most of the big MNC company. I am yet to know what is the direction and what I will be doing since there is no formal communication made between me and my Manager in the UK. What excites me is, to do new thing and I don't have to engage myself with any users anymore. Another interesting fact, which should be P&C according to the HR manager ( but he slipped and tell the new comers who joined on the first day with me ) I might be promoted to be Local Manager for my team. That sounds promising but, no confirmation yet so I can't be too excited about it isn't it? ( I am smelling another increment here... )

Yesterday, I received an sms from my former supervisor in an Oil & Gas company, and she ask, " how long do you need to tender?" "are you interested to join back and doing Domino and Exchange?" Well now.. I have a mix feeling to join them back, I've tried to negotiate with them before to convert me to a permanent  but according to her, there was no headcount to get me into the organisation. Now after I joined pharma company and I am pretty happy here.. she text me and wanting me to join back?! I'm afraid I will have a second thought now. Perhaps I should reject it in a nice way.. let say.. I ask for another 55% increment. I doubt, they will agree to pay and hire me.. in which, I will I can still remain in Pharma company, which gave a lot of potential to everyone and the business is expanding. But on the other hands, what if Oil & Gas willing to pay the amount I ask for? I think I have to think twice and deep with it... after all at the end of the day, MONEY come first.
